Chamomile is known as a mild herb but can be surprisingly effective and promotes sleep with a tranquilizing action similar to some drugs.
It also helps reduce stress related chemicals in the brain and promotes adrenal health.
Chamomile can be used as a herbal tea, taken in supplement form or used as an essential oil in a warm bath or massage.
It is best not to use it for extended periods without a break and avoid it altogether if you are allergic to ragweed.
